Astral Eyes by :icongreenfroggies:

A lovely piece with an rough but oddly detailed feeling to it. Quite the captivating feeling to it, *greenfroggies created a nice sense of depth and executed excellent control of highlights and shadows to continuously draw our eyes towards hers. Nice touch with opting to keep the background white, nice job

Flower by :iconarkade89mcr:

I just love the "chunky" feeling ~Arkade89mcr created in this piece. It's not highly detailed, but it gets the point across, more of an impressionistic piece. It sorta just "pops" from the background....just lovely. Excellent use of a limited number of colors, great highlights with a very consistent direction.

Papaver orientale by :iconcambium:

I really liked the detail in and around the bud. It's impressive how well ~cambium did the seeds/interior of the Flower. Especially impressive considering it was done with watercolors, and graphite. Lovely subtleties, and delicate lines make this a solid #3. Nicely done overall, but I would have like to see this one with a background :(......lovely none the less

:star:Honorable mentions:star:
I just thought that these were good, and stood out from the rest, but didn't quite make it. But they're worth mentioning.

Flora2 by :iconaoitenshi14:

This was rather interesting, I've gotten bored in class.....but never this much!
Nicely done, it seems as though it would make an interesting arm tattoo. ~aoitenshi14 has a pretty good knack at doing these sorts of things. I really wasn't expecting this sort of deviation in my contest, but I'm glad it came my way.

Flower Cake by :iconannasaphiree:

Another interesting entry :giggle:, ~annasaphiree made something both artsy and delicious looking....I've never watched how these sorts of things are made, but I'm sure this was a little difficult to make. Lovely, interesting, and scrumptious :hungry:

:bulletred:So, yeah Thanks to everyone who participated. Sorry if I didn't choose your deviation, hope there is no hard feelings. If anyone wishes to know why they didn't get picked.....or they just want me to crit their piece feel free to note me. Winners, I shall be putting up you're features soon (I have a ton of homework to do, and I also work a lot :().

:bulletred:If you didn't remember, `GH-MoNGo's sub will be a little delayed, but shall come, but not to worry, Darrenn is a nice guy, and wouldn't "skip town" so to speak :petting:
